Linda G. (Long) Gardner, 75, of Clymer, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home.
The daughter of Gilbert Paul and Geraldine (McQueeney) Long, she was born May 7, 1950, in Spangler, PA.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of Purchase Line High School.
She married Delbert “Dee” Gardner on December 31, 1968, and they shared over fifty-seven years of marriage together.
Linda loved and cherished her family, she is survived by her husband Dee of Pine Flats, PA; three children: Shannon Henry, Buddy Gardner (Cheryl) and Courtney Gardner all of Clymer, PA; grandchildren, Zackary Gardner, Adam Henry (Alyssa), Bradley Leasure (Madison), Maleigha Pearce (Zachary),
Ryan Henry and Haley Brooks; Bonus grandchildren, Max and Grace Kronenwetter, Lyrah, Leena, and Lorna McCoy; Great-grandchildren, Emma Henry, Owen Henry, Tatum Leasure, Kinsley Pearce, SadieRose Henry, and Cade Leasure; sister in laws, Janette Long, Priscilla Barrett, Brenda Clement (William) and Judy McDonnell; brother-in-law Marvin McCoy and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Leroy and Leonard Long and sister, Louella Powell; and a half-brother, Michael Long. Her father-in-law Eldon “Buddy” Gardner, mother-in-law Rose McDonnell and her husband Neil McDonnell; brother in laws Larry Barrett, Gordon McDonnell, and sister-in-law Janine McCoy.
Linda was one of the hardest workers. She was employed in environmental services at Indiana Regional Medical Center for over twenty years until her retirement in 2011. She also cleaned privately for many individuals throughout the years, sometimes working a full eight-hour shift and then cleaning two houses after.
In her spare time Linda loved traveling. She is fondly remembered as the matriarch of her family, recognized for her generous heart and her constant willingness to help others.
Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave. Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Timothy W. Bash officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Barrett Funeral Home.
